Keep a roof over Themba's head in Ekurhuleni
A 10-day notice to quit arrived last week. Themba needs $850 to clear the arrears and stay housed in Ekurhuleni.

When the bakery closed in March, I fell 5 months behind on rent. Last Saturday a 10-day notice to quit was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $850.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by June, we must leave.
I have a teenager still in school at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working two part-time jobs, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
The money will be paid directly to the landlord and I'll upload the receipt once it's done.
Where the $850 goes:
• First month of rent as a buffer: $280
• Rent arrears (5 months): $500
• Utilities in arrears: $70
With deep gratitude,
Themba

sending love. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Blessings.
Hope it all works out, Themba. I hope things turn around soon. After 28 years in teaching I know how hard it is to ask for anything. God bless
