Keep a roof over Saad's head in Faisalabad
After a sudden layoff, Saad is 3 months behind on rent and has a final eviction notice from the landlord.
🇵🇰 Faisalabad, Punjab, Pakistan1,121 views
When my hours were cut in half in August, I fell 3 months behind on rent. Last Wednesday a final eviction notice was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $350.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by November, we must leave.
I have two young children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working weekend shifts, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $350 goes:
• Utilities in arrears: $25
• Rent arrears (3 months): $280
• Late fees and court costs: $45
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

So sorry you're going through this. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I hope November is when things finally get easier. Take care.
