Keep a roof over Ethan's head in Los Angeles
After a delayed insurance payout, Ethan is 3 months behind on rent and has a final eviction notice from the landlord.

After a car accident that kept me from work for 6 weeks, I fell 3 months behind on rent. Last Tuesday a final eviction notice was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $4,600.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by November, we must leave.
I have a teenager still in school at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working night deliveries, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $4,600 goes:
• Rent arrears (3 months): $3,000
• Late fees and court costs: $290
• Utilities in arrears: $155
• First month of rent as a buffer: $1,155
With deep gratitude,
Ethan

you're not alone, Ethan. Shared this with my family. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Blessings
wishing you peace, Ethan. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. It's not much but it's yours. Love from Peshawar.
