Paul served eight years; now needs help to get home
An air force veteran in Ikeja needs help with a first month of rent and transport to job interviews after leaving service with a service-related knee injury.

I served eight years in the air force and was discharged in 2024 with a service-related knee injury. I have been waiting eleven months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a first month of rent and transport to job interviews. The quote I have comes to $550.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly.
Where the $550 goes:
• Housing deposit and first month: $310
• Essential household items: $65
• Training provider fees: $175
Every share and every dollar helps.

you're not alone, Paul. Hope this works out for you. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Greetings from Abbottabad.
