Keep a roof over Aiden's head in Albany
After a sudden layoff, Aiden is 4 months behind on rent and has a notice to vacate from the landlord.

Following a long illness in the family, I fell 4 months behind on rent. Last Monday a notice to vacate was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $3,600.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by November, we must leave.
I've 4 children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working weekend shifts, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $3,600 goes:
• Rent arrears (4 months): $2,050
• Late fees and court costs: $380
• Utilities in arrears: $270
• First month of rent as a buffer: $900
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Updates from Aiden
Good news. Because of your gifts ($978 in total) we've started the first stage. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
Small update. $331 so far, I met with the landlord and confirmed the amounts.
Thank you all. We're at 16% now ($566). I'm honestly stunned. the first invoice got paid this week.

Wishing you peace, Aiden. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
