Karin was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer in March. The oncology team at Bloemfontein Regional Medical Center has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in June. She will be away from work for about 4 weeks. Karin is 45, worked as a construction supervisor until March, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Bloemfontein Regional Medical Center 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $1,500 goes: • Transport to Bloemfontein Regional Medical Center: $165 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,200 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $135 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support. - Zanele
