Justice shouldn't depend on a bank balance: Aarav's wage-theft claim
Help Aarav cover the fees of a wage-theft claim so He can stay with his family.
Anywhere in the world1,836 views
Aarav is facing a wage-theft claim. The hearing is scheduled for February, and the filing fees and the lawyer's retainer come to $350. Three legal-aid offices have said their waiting lists are longer than the deadline.
Aarav has all the paperwork ready, and a caseworker at Mysuru Welcome Centre has confirmed that the case is valid.
If the deadline is missed Aarav could lose the right to stay with the family and the job. The children were born here and this is the only home they know.
Funds cover only the filing fees, translations and attorney retainer.
Where the $350 goes:
• Certified translations and document copies: $35
• Filing and biometrics fees: $90
• Attorney retainer: $225
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
