İsmail wants to stay at home - help fund six months of care
İsmail, 74, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $1,700 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my father, who's 74. After a diagnosis of dementia İsmail can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and İsmail desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
İsmail worked all of his life as a carpenter, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for six months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $1,700 goes:
• Part-time carer (six months): $1,350
• Medication and prescriptions: $90
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $90
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $170
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
