Is there a HVAC technician who can donate a few hours in Kingston?

Yvonne has a leaking gas line, and can't afford a licensed HVAC technician to fix it; a few hours of professional help would make the home safe.

In October an inspector told me that my home has a leaking gas line. It's a safety risk for me and my three children. The landlord has refused to act, and quotes of $300 are beyond us. I'm looking for a licensed HVAC technician who may be able to donate a few hours or do the repair at cost. I can cover the parts, which I estimate at $45. The job should take about eight hours. I'll make sure someone is home and will provide refreshments. I can share the inspector's written report on request. If you're a HVAC technician and can help, or know a program that assists with this sort of repair, I'd really appreciate it. I hope life is good to you.

  • Hang in there. Shared this with my family. I'm in social work myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Thinking of Kingston.

    • So sorry you're going through this, Yvonne. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Blessings

      • Sending love, Yvonne. Hope this works out for you. I went through something like this 13 years ago and strangers helped me out. All the best.

Hope it all works out. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I'll check back for the next update. Love from Saint Petersburg.

          • Wishing you the best. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. God bless.
