Home care fund for Hiroshi in Osaka
Hiroshi, 94, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $2,650 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for me, who's 94. After a stroke last July Hiroshi can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Hiroshi desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Hiroshi worked all of his life as a carpenter, and raised 5 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $2,650 goes:
• Part-time carer (four months): $1,550
• Medication and prescriptions: $460
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $280
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $360
