Rani is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying an agriculture degree at Bogor Community College, and is one semester away from graduating. She has worked as a library assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $450.
The registrar has said Rani can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Rani has a distinction average, and a department head has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Rani would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Rani isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Bogor Community College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $450 goes:
• Textbooks and materials: $30
• Exam and lab fees: $35
• Outstanding tuition balance: $385
