I'm caring for my mother, who's 74. After worsening Parkinson's disease Faith can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Faith desperately wants to stay at home. I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer. Faith worked all of her life as a schoolteacher, and raised 2 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back. Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for three months will make a huge difference. Funds cover the carer's wages, medicines, a hospital bed rental and incontinence supplies. Where the $1,000 goes: • Medication and prescriptions: $120 • Part-time carer (three months): $860 • Hospital bed and mattress rental: $20 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself. - Gemma

  • sending strength, Gemma. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. God bless.

    • Sending strength, Gemma. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. God bless.
