Home care fund for Anand in Chennai
Anand, 96, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $950 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for me, who's 96. After a diagnosis of dementia Anand can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Anand desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 25 hours a week and have cut back to look after him, but we need a part-time carer.
Anand worked all of his life as a seamstress, and raised 4 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for six months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $950 goes:
• Part-time carer (six months): $690
• Medication and prescriptions: $65
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $85
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $110
