Hiba's final semester of a law degree in Riyadh
A first-generation student, Hiba needs help covering tuition for the final stretch of a law degree.
🇸🇦 Riyadh, Saudi Arabia2,445 views
Hiba is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a law degree at the Riyadh Institute of Technology, and is two terms away from graduating. She has worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,850.
The registrar has said Hiba can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Hiba has a 3.6 average, and a professor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Hiba would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Hiba isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $1,850 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $850
• Final term tuition: $770
• Exam and lab fees: $75
• Textbooks and materials: $155

Rooting for you, Hamza. Your post was clear and honest. Wish I lived closer to León so I could bring a meal. Thinking of Riyadh.
Stay strong. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Please keep us posted
Best of luck, Hamza. Shared this with my family
Thinking of you and your family. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. Put this on a community board in Quezon City this morning. All the best
hope you get there. After 27 years in hospitality I know how hard it's to ask for anything. God bless!
stay strong. Your post was clear and honest. It's not much but it's yours.
