Imad's a craniotomy can't wait - please help us cover the bill
Imad needs a craniotomy at Cairo University Hospital and the family is $1,050 short of the hospital's estimate.

Imad was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst in January. The surgeon at Cairo University Hospital recommended a craniotomy, and He is scheduled for May. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,500, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $1,050 short.
my son has been in and out of Cairo University Hospital since January. The doctors say a large ovarian cyst will get worse without a craniotomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,500 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Imad struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Imad won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $1,050 goes:
• Hospital stay (5 nights): $460
• Physiotherapy sessions: $135
• Post-operative medication: $45
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $410

Hang in there. This could happen to any of us. We're a small family in Lalitpur but we're thinking of you. All the best
Best of luck, Mazen. Hope you get there. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
