Deniz, my husband, passed away on 4 June after a sudden heart attack. He was 75 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $850 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 17 June.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Deniz to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a local food bank.

• Funeral home services and casket: $730
• Memorial gathering for the family: $70
• Transport of the deceased: $50
