Help Svetlana pay for emergency hernia repair at Kharkiv General Hospital
Svetlana needs emergency hernia repair at Kharkiv General Hospital and the family is $850 short of the hospital's estimate.

Svetlana was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor in May. The surgeon at Kharkiv General Hospital recommended emergency hernia repair, and She is scheduled for August. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,200, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $850 short.
my mother has been in and out of Kharkiv General Hospital since May. The doctors say a benign brain tumor will get worse without emergency hernia repair. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,200 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Svetlana struggles with daily life and can't walk without help. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 4 weeks. During that time Svetlana won't be able to walk without help, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $850 goes:
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $65
• Physiotherapy sessions: $115
• Post-operative medication: $95
• Hospital stay (5 nights): $540
• Travel and lodging for the family: $35
