Let's build a playground together in Aberdeen
A community-led a playground at Liberty Park that will serve 487 neighbors.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 26 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Liberty Park, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $3,800.
It will serve about 487 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in February and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $3,800 goes:
• Materials: $3,000
• Permits and inspections: $105
• Safety equipment and signage: $240
• Tools hire and delivery: $455
