Help Shawn get back to civilian life: housing deposit and training
After six years of service, Shawn is raising funds for a vocational welding course and tools.

I served six years in the infantry and was discharged in 2023 with a service-related knee injury. I have been waiting fourteen months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a vocational welding course and tools. The quote I have comes to $4,650.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
I'll post invoices, with personal details hidden.
Where the $4,650 goes:
• Training provider fees: $2,350
• Housing deposit and first month: $1,300
• Transport to appointments: $330
• Essential household items: $670
Thanks for reading all this.
