Help Serenity through 4 rounds of treatment for thyroid cancer
Serenity is facing thyroid cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Serenity was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in August. The oncology team at Bakersfield Cancer Centre has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 10 weeks.
Serenity is 26, worked as a shop owner until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Bakersfield Cancer Centre 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $2,950 goes:
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,350
• Transport to Bakersfield Cancer Centre: $500
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $380
• Scans and lab work: $720
