Help Samantha finish an accounting degree at Hamilton Community College - $4,450 to go
A first-generation student, Samantha needs help covering tuition for the final stretch of an accounting degree.
🇨🇦 Ontario, Canada512 views
Samantha is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying an accounting degree at Hamilton Community College, and is one semester away from graduating. She has worked as a delivery rider to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $4,450.
The registrar has said Samantha can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Samantha has a first-class average, and a professor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Samantha would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Samantha isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
Where the $4,450 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $1,450
• Final term tuition: $2,400
• Exam and lab fees: $240
• Textbooks and materials: $360

best of luck, Beau. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Thinking of Hamilton.
Sending love, Beau. Shared this with my family. After 17 years in nursing I know how hard it is to ask for anything. Thinking of Hamilton
Thinking of you and your family. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. Put this on a community board in Envigado this morning. Love from Envigado.
Wishing you the best, Beau. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I'm in construction myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Greetings from Gwagwalada.
Wishing you peace. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My neighbor in Cape Town donated after I showed her your page!
Take care, Beau. Looking forward to the next update.
