Help Russell get back to civilian life: housing deposit and training
An air force veteran in Leeds needs help with a first month of rent and transport to job interviews after leaving service with a back injury.
🇬🇧 Leeds, England, United Kingdom1,570 views
Charlotte served twelve years in the air force and was discharged in 2024 with a back injury. She has been waiting seven months for support, and meanwhile is sleeping at a brother's place.
The plan: a first month of rent and transport to job interviews. The quote comes to $4,250.
Charlotte is receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and is committed to recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly.
Where the $4,250 goes:
• Training provider fees: $2,500
• Housing deposit and first month: $830
• Transport to appointments: $400
• Essential household items: $520
With deep gratitude,
Russell

Praying for you, Russell. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Put this on a community board in San Diego this morning. All the best
So sorry you're going through this, Russell. Shared it with a few friends. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Greetings from St. Petersburg
Rooting for you, Russell. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Love from Kazan.
