Jenny has used a wheelchair since 2024, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Jenny can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair. The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two. The ramp has to meet the accessibility guideline for gradient, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate twelve hours of work. Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Jenny's family will cook lunch for the team. If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

  • Keep going, Camille. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier.

    • Keep going. Wishing Jenny a smooth procedure and a full recovery. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Love from Addis Ababa
