Natalia can't leave home - help build a ramp

Natalia uses a wheelchair and can't leave the house because of three steps at the door; we need a few hours of carpentry.

Natalia has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Natalia can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair. The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two. The ramp has to meet the accessibility guideline for gradient, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate twelve hours of work. Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Natalia's family will cook lunch for the team. Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

  • Sending strength, Pedro. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. Put this on a community board in Allentown this morning. All the best.

    • thinking of you, Pedro. Hope this works out for you. We're a small family in Santos but we're thinking of you. Blessings.

      • Hang in there. It takes guts to ask. Well done. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Thinking of Orlando.

        • I hope things turn around soon. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Take care
