Riddhi was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor in March. The surgeon at Chennai Orthopedic Institute recommended ACL reconstruction, and She is scheduled for June. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,100, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $650 short. my daughter has been in and out of Chennai Orthopedic Institute since March. The doctors say a benign brain tumor will get worse without ACL reconstruction. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,100 is more than we can find. While we wait, Riddhi struggles with daily life and can't drive. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there. Rehabilitation is expected to take about 10 weeks. During that time Riddhi won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
