Uche needs my tuk-tuk repaired to get back to work in Lagos
Without my tuk-tuk Uche can't work; a $150 repair would put her back on the road.

I make my living with my tuk-tuk. 7 weeks ago the gearbox failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $150. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my wife and our newborn. Before the breakdown I worked nine hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next three months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $150 goes:
• gearbox replacement (parts): $105
• Towing and inspection: $10
• Labor charges: $35
Thank you for reading my story.

Thinking of you, Uche. I hope things turn around soon. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Take care.
best of luck. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend.
Good luck, Uche. Shared it with a few friends
Shared it with a few friends. My father had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Greetings from Ho.
