Looking for a friendly person in Faisalabad to visit Zain once a week.

I'm writing for my neighbor Zain, who's 74. Zain lives alone in Faisalabad, and lost a son last year. The nearest family lives a long flight away. Zain loves local history, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Monday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person. All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity. No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience. I hope life is good to you.

    Exceeded expectations

I was going through a tough time and this person's support was invaluable. They didn't judge, just helped. That kind of genuine compassion is rare these days.

  • Thinking of you and your family. Get well soon. Don't give up. All the best.

    • Good luck, Kiran. It takes guts to ask. Well done. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
