Help me pay for valve repair surgery at Casablanca Orthopedic Institute
After a hip fracture that never healed properly, Rashid was cleared for valve repair surgery, but the bill is more than we can manage.

In October I was diagnosed with a hip fracture that never healed properly. My surgeon at Casablanca Orthopedic Institute recommended valve repair surgery, and I have been placed on the schedule for December. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $1,700, and after what the government subsidy will pay, I'm still $1,200 short.
Doctors at Casablanca Orthopedic Institute told me a hip fracture that never healed properly will get worse without valve repair surgery. I work as a restaurant cook, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $1,700 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a restaurant cook have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
The recovery period is expected to take about 7 weeks. I'll not be able to lift anything heavy during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $1,200 goes:
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $400
• Hospital stay (4 nights): $460
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $55
• Post-operative medication: $30
• Physiotherapy sessions: $180
• Travel and lodging for the family: $75
Thank you so much.
