A weekly ride to the Erie Dialysis Unit for Weston

A rota of drivers to the Erie Dialysis Unit would keep Weston on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.

Weston has been on dialysis for 2 years and until recently drove to the Erie Dialysis Unit alone. After a foot amputation, Weston can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 31 km each way. Weston is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. Glad we found this place.
