Help María move out of an unsafe apartment this Friday
María has found a safe new apartment in Madrid and needs help moving heavy furniture on Friday.

After a break-in at the old place, I found a safe, affordable apartment in Madrid, and the lease starts on Friday. I have my elderly father, a few pieces of furniture and no money for movers.
I'm hoping for anyone with a van for about three hours. If you have a van or pickup, that would help enormously - I'll cover fuel.
The old place is on the third floor with no elevator and the new place has just one flight of stairs. We'll do it in two trips. Lunch and cold drinks are on me.
I know this is a lot to ask of strangers. I'd be happy to share references from my landlord and my employer.
Glad we found this place.

Hope it all works out, María. Looking forward to the next update. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. All the best

Keep going, María. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Love from Nagpur.
Thanks for sharing this. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. Love from Aurora
Sending strength, María. Shared it with a few friends. After 27 years in nursing I know how hard it is to ask for anything. All the best

Stay strong. Shared this with my family. I went through something like this 5 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of Madrid.
Rooting for you, María. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. All the best.
Hang in there, María. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. God bless.
stay strong. Hope you get there. My neighbor in Madrid donated after I showed her your page. Take care.

You're not alone. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Thinking of Madrid.
Thinking of you and your family, María. Gave what I could, wish it was more. After 30 years in hospitality I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Take care.
Good luck. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My cousin had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. God bless
