Denise, my mother, passed away on 30 May after a stroke. She was 55 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $5,750 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 16 June.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Denise to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
The funds will be paid directly to the funeral home, and I'll share the receipt.
Where the $5,750 goes:
• Funeral home services and casket: $3,200
• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $1,750
• Transport of the deceased: $380
• Memorial gathering for the family: $420
