A weekly visit for Zenaida, 90, who lives alone in Quezon City
An hour a week, a chat, and a cup of tea - that's all Zenaida is asking for.

I'm writing for my neighbor Zenaida, who's 90. Zenaida lives alone in Quezon City, and lost a sister last year. The nearest family lives on the other side of the country.
Zenaida loves baking, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Friday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

So sorry you're going through this. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Wish I lived closer to Belém so I could bring a meal. God bless.
Thinking of you and your family. Wishing Zenaida a smooth procedure and a full recovery. My neighbor in Magelang donated after I showed her your page.
best of luck, Lourdes. I hope things turn around soon. I'll check back for the next update.
So sorry you're going through this, Lourdes. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.
