Wanjiru's school year: uniform, books and a laptop
Help Wanjiru begin Year 11 with a laptop, uniform and books.
🇺🇬 Western Region, Uganda997 views
I earned a place in Year 11 at Fort Portal Technical College, and I couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things I need, including a laptop for the coding course, and a uniform.
My mother works two jobs, and the list costs $150, which is more than we have.
I love coding and want to become a nurse. A laptop will let me do coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
I'll take care of everything you give me and I promise to work hard.
Items on the list: laptop, uniform, shoes, textbooks, calculator and a bag.
Where the $150 goes:
• Laptop: $80
• School uniform and shoes: $20
• Textbooks and workbooks: $35
• Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $15
Thank you for reading my story.

Hang in there. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. All the best
Good luck, Wanjiru. Shared it with a few friends. Love from Chennai!
