Lovely was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer in June. The oncology team at Quezon City Regional Medical Center has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in September. She will be away from work for about 3 weeks. Lovely is 34, worked as a primary school teacher until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Quezon City Regional Medical Center 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
