Mobility fund: stair-climbing aid for Ryan in Los Angeles
A stair-climbing aid would give Ryan independence - we're $5,800 away.
🇺🇸 California, United States1,074 views
Ryan lives with cerebral palsy. The occupational therapist at the Los Angeles Rehabilitation Centre has assessed him and recommended a stair-climbing aid. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $5,800.
His current equipment is 10 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 3 weeks.
With the right equipment Ryan could go to school independently. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $5,800 goes:
• stair-climbing aid: $4,900
• Fitting and training sessions: $450
• Delivery and set-up: $165
• First-year servicing plan: $285
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
