Kunle was diagnosed with prostate cancer in November. The oncology team at Gwagwalada Regional Medical Center has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in February. He will be away from work for about 12 weeks. Kunle is 39, worked as a bus conductor until November, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Gwagwalada Regional Medical Center 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $1,100 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $530 • Scans and lab work: $160 • Transport to Gwagwalada Regional Medical Center: $70 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $65 • Household costs while unable to work: $275 Thank you for reading my story.
