Bonny
For fifteen years I have run a barbershop in Bonny. In July, a fire in the building took clippers, chairs and mirrors. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me. Before that, my customers came every Friday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 6 weeks. This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment. Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item. Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go. Where the $450 goes: • Replacing clippers, chairs and mirrors: $220 • Initial stock: supplies: $50 • Shop repairs and licensing: $100 • Working capital for the first month: $80 Thanks for being kind about this. - Juliet

  • Stay strong, Juliet. Shared this with my family. Please keep us posted.

    • Wishing you the best. Hope you make a strong comeback. My neighbor in Mumbai donated after I showed her your page.

      • Hope things get better soon, Juliet. Your post was clear and honest. We're a small family in Pasig but we're thinking of you. Greetings from Pasig.

        • So sorry you're going through this. I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. Put this on a community board in Thrissur this morning. Thinking of Bonny.

          • Take care. Hope the shop reopens soon. After 28 years in social work I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Love from Patna
