A playground for the old Sycamore bus depot: help our neighbors in Mumbai
A community-led a playground at the old Sycamore bus depot that will serve 145 neighbors.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 13 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Sycamore bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $140, and the remaining cost is $250.
It will serve about 145 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $250 goes:
• Materials: $135
• Permits and inspections: $55
• Safety equipment and signage: $55
• Tools hire and delivery: $5
