Since 2020, our volunteer team has run the Harvest Pantry every Thursday from the back of the mosque courtyard. We started with 16 families, and now we feed 221 each week. Donations have dropped by about 41% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week. We rely on volunteers - 15 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Philadelphia market and keep every receipt. Each $40 feeds a family of four for a week. I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday. Where the $3,050 goes: • Baby formula and diapers: $730 • Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $2,100 • Refrigeration and electricity: $220 Every share and every dollar helps. - Jameson

Sure. The biggest one is baby formula and diapers, $730. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Happy to explain more.

  • good luck, Jameson. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in.

    • Sending love, Jameson. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Wish I lived closer to Mexicali so I could bring a meal. Take care.
