Care for Laura, 87: help cover a carer and medication in Denver
Laura, 87, needs daily care to stay at home, and the family is raising $1,650 for a carer and medicines.

I'm caring for my mother, who's 87. After the death of her spouse Laura can no longer manage alone. A nursing home would cost far more than we have, and Laura desperately wants to stay at home.
I work 50 hours a week and have cut back to look after her, but we need a part-time carer.
Laura worked all of her life as a seamstress, and raised 3 children. Now we're trying to give some of that care back.
Medication, a hospital bed and a carer for four months will make a huge difference.
The carer will be employed through a registered agency and paid directly. I'll share the agency invoices.
Where the $1,650 goes:
• Medication and prescriptions: $550
• Mobility aids and bathroom adaptations: $680
• Hospital bed and mattress rental: $420
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Praying for you. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I have a 15 year old who wants to send good wishes too.

Praying for you. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Greetings from Liverpool.
