Imran is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a master's in public health at Narayanganj State College, and is two terms away from graduating. He has worked as a warehouse packer to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $400.
The registrar has said Imran can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Imran has a 3.6 average, and a professor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Imran would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Imran isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
Everything raised goes to the university's accounts office toward the outstanding balance and the final term's fees.
