Help Ian move out of an unsafe apartment this Thursday
Ian has found a safe new apartment in Edinburgh and needs help moving heavy furniture on Thursday.

After a break-in at the old place, I found a safe, affordable apartment in Edinburgh, and the lease starts on Thursday. I have three kids, a few pieces of furniture and no money for movers.
I'm hoping for four volunteers for about five hours. If you have a van or pickup, that would help enormously - I'll cover fuel.
The old place is on the third floor with no elevator and the new place has a ground-floor entrance. We'll do it in two trips. Lunch and cold drinks are on me.
I know this is a lot to ask of strangers. I'd be happy to share references from my landlord and my employer.
I hope life is good to you.

It takes guts to ask. Well done. Please keep us posted. Greetings from Nîmes.
Hope it all works out. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. Greetings from Gatineau.
a secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. My cousin had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Take care.
Gave what I could, wish it was more. After 20 years in construction I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
