Francesco was diagnosed with a torn ligament that needs reconstruction in July. The surgeon at Salerno University Hospital recommended ACL reconstruction, and He is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $5,250, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $3,150 short.
my father has been in and out of Salerno University Hospital since July. The doctors say a torn ligament that needs reconstruction will get worse without ACL reconstruction. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $5,250 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Francesco struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 3 weeks. During that time Francesco won't be able to work a full shift, so the costs keep growing.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Francesco.
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. physiotherapy sessions comes first ($270) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Good question.
