Popy is facing kidney cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Popy was diagnosed with kidney cancer in July. The oncology team at Dhaka Regional Medical Center has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in September. She will be away from work for about 12 weeks. Popy is 49, worked as a primary school teacher until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Dhaka Regional Medical Center 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $1,050 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $560 • Scans and lab work: $125 • Transport to Dhaka Regional Medical Center: $75 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $50 • Household costs while unable to work: $240 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to. - Rashed
