Emine was diagnosed with colon cancer in March. The oncology team at İzmir University Hospital has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in May. She will be away from work for about 5 weeks. Emine is 44, worked as a taxi driver until March, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to İzmir University Hospital 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $2,550 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,700 • Transport to İzmir University Hospital: $230 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $145 • Household costs while unable to work: $475 Glad we found this place.
