Emily was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in July. The oncology team at Gqeberha University Hospital has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 10 weeks.
Emily is 29, worked as a construction supervisor until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Gqeberha University Hospital 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.

• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,900
• Scans and lab work: $350
• Transport to Gqeberha University Hospital: $150
