Emery was diagnosed with cervical cancer in July. The oncology team at the Tampa Oncology Institute has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 4 weeks. Emery is 29, worked as a primary school teacher until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Tampa Oncology Institute 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $2,850 goes: • Household costs while unable to work: $1,650 • Transport to the Tampa Oncology Institute: $570 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $630 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
