Elena was diagnosed with cervical cancer in August. The oncology team at the Moscow Oncology Institute has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 10 weeks.
Elena is 36, worked as a bus conductor until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Moscow Oncology Institute 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.

• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,000
• Transport to the Moscow Oncology Institute: $340
• Scans and lab work: $310
