Carpenters wanted: an entrance ramp for Noboru

Help Noboru regain independence: a simple ramp build.

Noboru has used a wheelchair since 2025, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Noboru can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair. The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two. The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate six hours of work. Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Noboru's family will cook lunch for the team. If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

Sending strength. Hope you get there. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. All the best.

      • Thanks for sharing this, Yuki. Hope the doctors have good news. My husband and I read this together.

        • Sending good thoughts. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Thinking of Kawasaki

          • Praying for you. Your post was clear and honest. After 10 years in engineering I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Love from Cox's Bazar.
