Help Diego through 6 rounds of treatment for non-Hodgkin lymphoma
Supporting Diego through non-Hodgkin lymphoma: medication, transport to the Brooklyn Oncology Institute, and living costs while He can't work.
🇺🇸 New York, United States1,069 views
Diego was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in March. The oncology team at the Brooklyn Oncology Institute has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in June. He will be away from work for about 5 weeks.
Diego is 40, worked as a taxi driver until March, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Brooklyn Oncology Institute 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $12,700 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $8,250
• Scans and lab work: $1,400
• Transport to the Brooklyn Oncology Institute: $1,000
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $420
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,630
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
